Eight Ways to Engage Your Community.

This brochure from the National Responsible Fatherhood Capacity Building Initiative discusses eight strategies for engaging a community in a program. The strategies include: involve the board in community engagement planning, prepare a plan, identity community strengths, recruit community members to serve on an advisory board or committee, schedule an open house event where staff, board members, funders, and other stakeholders can interact with community members, sponsor a forum, conduct interviews and focus groups, use the media to spread the word about programs promoting responsible fatherhood, and take steps to increase community involvement.
