In February 2016, the National Resource Center for Healthy Marriage and Families (Resource Center) convened the Healthy Relationship Education Policy Academy (Policy Academy). Human-services professionals from across the country were invited to participate in a series of in-depth discussions and presentations on the skills necessary for the integration of healthy marriage and relationship education into safety-net services. For participants, the Policy Academy represented an opportunity to learn from each other and the Resource Center, and to enhance their capacity to work with individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency. In addition, through the Policy Academy the Resource Center was able to glean information from participants’ experiences that can be used to inform the development of future trainings, products and technical assistance. This brief describes the findings that emerged from discussions and feedback collected through the Policy Academy. (Author Abstract)
